Every app in this category has a free tier. They differ enormously in whether that tier is usable or just a demo.

Shopify’s own bulk editor and CSV import are free and unlimited, so “free bulk editing” already exists. What the free tiers of apps offer is the part Shopify lacks — rules, scheduling and undo — in small quantities.
Competitor pricing and features below were checked on the Shopify App Store on 2026-08-20. Apps change; verify before deciding.
| Option | Free tier | Usable for real work? |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify native editor | Unlimited, manual values only | Yes, for typing values by hand |
| Bulk Product Edit by MITS | 5 tasks/month, 10 items per task | As a filters-and-editors trial |
| Hextom | 10 products per task | As a trial |
| Ablestar | 10 products per task | As a trial |
| Platmart | 1 task/month, 100 products | One small job a month |
| syncX Stock Sync | 2,000 products, 1 feed, manual | Yes, for a small feed |
Ten items per task is small; it is also enough to see exactly how the app behaves.

A store with a few hundred products that changes prices twice a year can get a long way on the free tier, running five small tasks a month. What the paid plans add is volume, the scheduler, recurring tasks and task history — the filters and editors themselves are the same everywhere.
Free plan, then $3.99, $7.99 and $14.99 per month. Plans differ by products per task, tasks per month, recurring schedules and how long task history is kept.
